Getting Started
ProjectFundraise helps your group — a school, sports team, club, or nonprofit — sell custom-branded gear online without buying any inventory or handling a single box. You tell us about your group, pick the products you want, and we build you a branded store at your own shareable link. When your supporters buy, we print, pack, and ship every order directly to them.
There are two ways to run it, and you choose up front. A fundraiser is a focused, goal-driven campaign: you set a target, mark up each product by an amount you choose, and your group keeps that markup on every sale. A team store (also called a branded store) is an always-on shop for team and fan gear — a convenient way for your community to get branded merch year-round, without a fundraising goal attached. Getting set up takes about five minutes, and once you’ve finished your part, your store can typically be live within one business day.

How Fundraisers Work
A fundraiser is the money-raising version of a store. During setup you pick your products and, for each one, set your selling price above our base product cost. The difference between what a supporter pays and our base cost is your margin — and your group keeps that difference on every item sold. You choose the markup, so you control both what supporters pay and what your group earns. Your selling price is locked in once your campaign is created, so it’s worth setting it thoughtfully during setup.
Once your products are designed and your fundraiser goes live, you get a clean, shareable link and a dashboard with a live progress bar toward your goal. You share the link by text, email, group chat, or social — there’s no app for supporters to download and no minimum order. Each supporter shops on their own, picks their size, checks out, and gets their order shipped straight to their door. As sales come in, your dashboard tracks how much you’ve raised and suggests your next best move to keep momentum up. Fundraisers run for two to four weeks, set during onboarding.

How Team Stores Work
A team store is an always-on shop for your group’s branded gear. It works just like a fundraiser on the outside — a branded store at your own link, print-on-demand products, direct-to-door shipping — but it’s built for convenience rather than raising money. There’s no fundraising goal and no added margin, so supporters pay a straightforward per-item price that covers the product and our service, and there’s no payout to the organizer. It’s the easy way to let fans, families, and members get official gear whenever they want it.
Setup is the same quick flow: create your account, add your logo, and choose your products. Our team brands and builds the store, you approve it, and it goes live — typically within one business day. Because there’s no campaign clock, a team store can stay open as long as you want.

Products & Custom Designs
Everything in your store is made to order using print-on-demand, so there’s no inventory to buy and nothing sits in a box waiting to sell. The catalog includes 100+ options — t-shirts, hoodies, hats, drinkware, bags, blankets, and more — and new products are added regularly. You upload your logo or artwork once and it’s applied across the products you choose, and our team designs each product to match your brand before anything goes live.
If you don’t have print-ready artwork, that’s fine — an optional design service can take a logo, photo, or rough sketch and turn it into clean, production-ready files, with a proof you review before anything prints. You always get to see how your design looks on each product before it’s published, and nothing goes to print without an order behind it.

How do I add my logo or design?
What if I don’t have a good logo file or finished artwork?
Will I see my products before they go live?

Pricing & What You Earn
There’s no cost to you to launch — no setup fee, no monthly fee, and no inventory to buy. The cost of each product is built into its price, and your supporters pay that price at checkout. On a fundraiser, you set each product’s selling price above our base cost, and your group keeps the difference — your margin — on every item sold. On a team store there’s no fundraising markup, so the price is essentially cost-plus and there’s no organizer payout.
Because you set the selling price per product, you control both what supporters pay and what your group earns, and you’ll see the resulting price as you set it. You never pay us out-of-pocket — we’re paid from the product cost that’s already inside each sale, and your earnings are paid out to your group separately. Nothing is deducted from your margin: no platform fees and no processing fees come out of what you raise.

Orders, Shipping & Returns
You never touch fulfillment. When a supporter orders, the item is printed on demand and shipped directly to their door, and they get an order confirmation by email and a tracking link once it ships. You don’t manage inventory, pack boxes, or chase down payments — supporters pay at checkout and we handle the rest.
Because items are made to order, they can’t be returned or exchanged for a change of mind, and there are no refunds or store credit. What we do guarantee is quality: if an item arrives damaged or defective, we’ll send a free replacement. Just reach out within 14 days of delivery with your order number and a photo, and once it’s confirmed we ship a brand-new replacement at no cost — you don’t even need to send the original back.
Common questions
How does fulfillment work?
When will orders ship?
How much is shipping?
How do supporters track their order?
Can an order be changed or canceled?
What’s the return policy?
What counts as damaged or defective?

Payouts
On a fundraiser, your earnings add up as your margin on every item sold — the difference between the selling price you set and our base cost, for each item purchased. That running total is what your dashboard shows as the amount you’ve “raised.” You don’t invoice anyone or collect money yourself; supporters pay at checkout, we handle fulfillment, and your group’s share is paid out to you after your campaign ends.
Your payout is issued by check once your fundraiser is complete, and there’s no minimum you have to reach first — you receive what you raised. Nothing is deducted from your margin: no platform fee and no processing fee come out of your earnings. A team store has no organizer payout, since there’s no fundraising markup.
One thing to keep in mind: we don’t provide tax documentation, and you’re responsible for any tax obligations that apply to what your group raises.

When do I get paid?
What counts toward the amount I’ve raised?
Is there a minimum before I get paid?
Do any fees come out of my payout?

Managing Your Program
Once you’re set up, your dashboard is home base. On a fundraiser it shows your live progress toward your goal, the amount you’ve raised, and a short list of suggested “next moves” — small, high-impact actions like sharing your link or sending a reminder — so you always know the most useful thing to do next. It also has built-in sharing tools and can help you draft a post, and it celebrates milestones like your first sale and hitting your goal.
Getting live is guided: after you finish setup, our team designs your products and reviews your program before it goes public — you’re never left to figure it out alone. A fundraiser runs to its set end date and then wraps up; on completion, you have the option to convert it into an ongoing team store so your gear can stay available. If you have a question at any point, support is a message away.

What happens to my gear after the fundraiser ends?
